Seafood Sustainability

Fish and oceanic stock depletion are likely to significantly impact countries, who imports their seafood. F&B outlets including the hospitality industry are the ones that will be affected should there be a major change in seafood supplies. Just in Singapore alone, the country consumes about 120,000 tonnes of seafood per year on average. This has evidently shown that seafood forms a staple food intake and hotels which are guest-eccentric are facing the challenge of providing what the consumers’ want while looking for ways to reduce the environment impact.
The challenges are to look for suppliers, who support the selling of sustainable fish stocks and managing the containment of costs. At LINQps, we take steps on checking the suppliers’ traceability and keeping track of the certifications. Through the effort of aggregation, we further manage to control costs that impacts the hotels’ P&L. In this way, we deliver the results of managing costs as well as contributing by our part to help sustaining the environment.
